Sure. I agree, having one parent who comes from an English colony.

I'd like to add that thought. Being white does not immediately align oneself with every last white person at every point in history. I do believe that would make some white people as guilty as black liberals who try to connect to anything,everything african at every point in time. If that is allowed, then I should have more self esteem and racial pride than anyone else. Culture and ethnicity are very different from 'race' or what we think race is.

Actually in asking what 'white' is, people will learn, or should learn, that it's no different than what being 'black' is, or any other is is. Most white and blacl kids I meet think of themselves as Americans. I don't know where the libs find these people. I've never had a quandry over 'whiteness'.
