oh good point... wasn't even aware of Amber Frye's daughter. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE MARRIED MEN?

I think much of this was an act to get Amber. Also, Amber's daughter would not be a financial burden & he could justify "keeping some distance" emotionally and physically since she isn't his own child. I'm sure the defense will try to argue this but IMO it is not a strong argument.

Yes, that does seem strange.
I think his attention to the child was more for Amber's benefit.
Most people have at least some feelings for their biological children, but might find it a bit difficult to "warm up" to a child that they really don't know. But Scott murders his own child, then gives presents to Amber's little girl.Weird!
