What?? You mean your name won't be runningbear any more?

Oh dear. It's always hard adjusting to someone's new married name!

"name change"

Mrs. Running... Smith? Running... Jones?

Please, can't you just hyphenate it? "Mrs. Running Bear-Jones".

I dunno, Cloe.

Most people treat pregnant women as though they were made of glass. They say Scott was away from home often. If they'd really gotten into a big fight, I think a far more typical reaction by the husband would have been to say "to hell with this!" and drive off in his car.

But, okay, suppose he did stay to fight it out. Once she was seriously hurt, why wouldn't he then have called 911 or driven her to the hospital? A normal person would come to a screeching halt as soon as they realized that it had gotten into serious injury. Plus, one would think that even a husband who hated his wife would still have thought, "Well, it's not the baby's fault... maybe we can at least keep him from harm."

Yeah, my husband was sniffling through the last half hour right along with me.

It's funny, all the people sitting around us, behind, in front of, next to, were all chatting away before the film like we knew one another for years. lol

We all lamented that this was the last time we'd get to see a *new* LOTR. All the people in line as we came out were chatty, too.

I can't wait until the DVD comes out. How many people will be treating phlebitis from sitting for hours once all three extended version are ours for endless watching.... Gotta drink a lot of tea so we can walk to the bathroom often, I guess. lol

I was sad that this was the final chapter until I heard that they will be making a prequil...The Hobit, of course!
I loved those books when I was a kid, and passed them along to my kids too!

I guess we won't know what really happened until the trial and even then we may never know the exact sequence of events.
My post may have been misleading.I thought you were saying {post 221}that Laci might have died as a result of the fight and I was agreeing that it could have happened that way.
I think Scott wanted Laci and the baby completely out of his life, as soon as possible, and didn't really care how it came about.I don't think he would have called 911 or taken her to a hospital - he had already made up his mind to dispose of them both.

They were joking on a Chicago radio station today that Geragos is on his way to Qatar to defend Saddam. ROFL!

And he is going to use the same defense for Scott Peterson, Michael Jackson and Saddam.....the perpatrators are a satanic cult

I agree about his already having decided to dispose of them both. Of course there's no excuse for murdering anyone, but it's far more common for someone to do such a thing to a person they've had differences with. But his killing the baby, a person he'd never even met, IMO, that takes it to a whole new level. Poor Laci and Connor!!

***Did anyone see this LKL interview last night? Major barf alert!***

KING: We're back with Mark Geragos.

Off to the side, is it hard to handle two high profile cases at the same time?

GERAGOS: No. In fact, it's -- I've actually had the opposite experience. Normally, any busy lawyer, let alone any busy criminal defense lawyer, handles at least 15 to 20 serious cases at any one time. Because of these two cases, I have been able to delegate most of my other cases to other lawyers in the office. Plus I have a team of lawyers to do what I ask them to do, usually. And it's been a god send. I can concentrate in a way and focus in a way I normally can't.

KING: So the Peterson's and Jackson's totally understand?

GERAGOS: Jackie Peterson who I adore -- I really am blessed, yes. And I'm blessed in this sense, that both Katherine Jackson and Jackie Peterson are two of the strongest, most beautiful women that you will ever meet. And to my poor mother, I apologize. I talk to both of them more than I talk to my own mother. Jackie's response immediately and I adore it for her this. She said, Michael was blessed to be able to have me there. And I consider that a compliment.

***I should have posted the link in the previous post. This part of the interview caught my attention. Geragos talking about the Michael Jackson case being the "ultimate challenge" where someone if falsely accused. One would think that a client facing the death penalty....would be the ultimate challenge!****

http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0312/18/lkl.00.html
GERAGOS: Somebody's life in your hands. If you a criminal defense lawyer, the ultimate challenge is this case. Where you've got somebody who is falsely accused who there are all kinds of parasites running around trying to make a buck based upon that false accusation. And you've got to -- you're there, you're standing between that client and the ultimate penalty.

***ROFL! Geragos rips Gloria Allred***

GERAGOS: It's not only crazy, it's sick. And you know, I have to say, for Gloria Allred, of all people, to come out there and hold a press conference, when she's got nothing to do with this case. You know, Gloria's husband, I think, years ago, was indicted for some kind of crime. Nobody ever said, Let's take Lisa Bloom out of the house, when she was -- when the husband was indicted. So this idea that she's out there, based on an accusation, calling for kids to be taken out of the house is beneath contempt. She knows better than that. It's nothing but a publicity seeker, just like a couple of the others who are out there on the backs, like parasites, of Michael.

"Katherine Jackson and Jackie Peterson are two of the most strongest, most beautiful women . . ."

Geragos must have his eyes checked. His credibility is sinking every time he opens his mouth.

He is doing a great disservice to his clients by his nonsense. More than one juror will simply tune him out -- he is so full of BS. Unfortunate if his client happens to be innocent.

The worst, however, are Geragos' threats of violence against anyone who will say anything negative about Michael: "come down on you like a hammer" or "ton of bricks." This is mob enforcer talking.

Hummm, we are having pics, and VHS, maybe I might be able to post one when I get back. But if I crash the camera, NOT!....ROFL... Just kidding. Thank you..

This lady called in a talk show sometime last week, and was from Ontario area, and stated something on health care, and it sounded funny. She more or less stated Canada has excellent health care, and another issue was Canada taxes it's citizens more than any other country, which is why cars are so much older over there because no one can afford new ones. Does this sound right?

Great point. When I heard Geragos say that last night, he seemed as honest as the former Iraqi Information Minister.

LOL.. I have been sort of 'offline'.... But stuck on Ebay. I know not much on the guts of laptops, but am learning now. A lot more complicated then desk tops. I bought one from a seller in the Chicago area, and it was out of an Ebay, pulled listing, because the laptop being sold had a 'hiccup'. I got it for a deal of a price, and after hours searching on IBM trouble site, I found possible error problem, and sure enough, it was it. A bad ram chip. So, it is up and running, but waiting on other stuff to finalize the dated system to make it function with the battery/newer Window programs. Kind of heavier than the newer ones, but IBM is way ahead of it's time with the motherboard developement this one has. A workhorse of a laptop.
