The Russian people have always lost, for hundreds of years. Difficult to understand why they willingly submit to the iron fist. Sad

What have Russian peoples lost? Hmmm? First labor protection laws? Made under Catherine the Great, sedition to translate in England and France. Wars? Which one? Napolianic? 5 Turkish? WW2? Or you refer to Mongol invasion? What lost? Back up words with fact. As for Civil War...yeah if only US/British businessmen like Armnhammer, Rockefeller, Rothchilde and German Kaiser had not given hundreds millions to Bolshaviks, maybe different history.

because they need it....they need the iron fist to have something to bitch about, write depressing poetry about, and generally have someone else to blame for thier inability to take responsibility for their own lives.
Remember there is comfort in familiarity, whether you are talking about mcDolnald hamburgers, a husband that beats you, or being oppressed. It is not what is good for us that is atractive but what is familar. For most people the unknown is chaos and something to flee. So if you already have coping mechanisms built into how to be ruled or oppressed you don't have to think about things you just deal with it subconsciously. Thus what is familar is attactive. Just like that girl going back to the bad boyfriend over and over.
