MK Eldad Acts to Prevent Temple Mount Arafat Burial [Arafat wants to be buried there]

MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) submitted a Knesset bill today (Sunday) forbidding burial on the Temple Mount. There have been reports recently that Yassir Arafat intends to be buried there in order to strengthen the Arab claim to Judaism’s holiest site. “I intend to prevent the transformation of the Temple Mount into a Palestinian national site,” Eldad said.

MK Eldad submitted the proposed law, which also prohibits burial within Jerusalem’s Old City, in response to increasing reports that Yassir Arafat intends to be buried on the Temple Mount - in a final attempt, according to Eldad, “to strengthen the Arab hold on Judaism’s holiest site.”

“This law is intended to prevent this severe act,” explained MK Eldad, adding that already an Arab family claiming ownership to a burial plot along the western wall of the Temple Mount is prepared to hand it over to Arafat.

MK Eldad explained that, “Jewish tradition from the Second Temple period has even forbidden burial within the walls of the Old City. The only exceptions were the Jewish residents of the Old City killed during the War of Independence.”

MK Eldad added, “The Arab occupiers are attempting to bury their dead within the Old City walls and on the Temple Mount as a means of creating political and religious facts on the ground in Jerusalem.”

“I propose,” said MK Eldad, “that just as many Jews want to be buried in the land of their fathers, having their bodies brought to Israel for burial, Yassir Arafat should be returned to Egypt, his homeland, for burial.”

If that doesn't defile the Temple Mount, I don't know what would.

I think Arafat should be arrested, wrapped in the skin of a pig, cinched into a suicide bomber belt, detonated with dignity, and buried wherever the little pieces of him land.

Israelis will never do it, unless US opposition to harming Arafat disappears.

I did not propose HARMING Mr. Arafat. I said he should die with dignity. (Dignity is a big deal to the American Death Culture. They want to kill you, but with dignity.) What could be more dignified than a hero's death with a bomb -- even as he himself has urged many a bomber before him to blow himself to bits?

Islamofascists tend to get a little hyper over the pig issue, but they are wrong about this. God created pigs the same way he created Arafat, and He will welcome them home together.

Just a minute there - "welcome them home together" ??

Your closing line implies that Arafat will be welcomed into heaven. I find that a difficult theological construct to follow. Do pigs have souls?

And if God is as defined, and he expects the Commandments to be obeyed, Arafat will be in a habitat rather warmer than his present abode, not in heaven.

Just a thought.

It is possible that I was being ever so slightly facetious.

Anyway, whatever the Lord does with dead swine is good enough for Yasser.

Surely there is a restroom near Temple Mount under which he could be properly laid to waste, err rest.

I can't imagine a greater blaspheme than that this blood thirsty thug be buried on the Temple Mount. God will not be mocked for long.

LOL, but an excellent point. That really is an off-the-scale abomination. A covenant with death, literally!

Who is buried up there? I know that Sharif Hussein, the Hashemite emir booted out of Mecca by the Sauds, is there. And Abdullah I, who was assassinated there in 1951, great-grandfather of the current Jordanian monarch. Faisal Husseini also!

This defilement has been going on for quite some time. Arafat, however, would truly take it to a new level of abomination.

I don't think swine have souls, but either way, you have impuned swines everywhere and treated Arafat with more honor than he deserves.

Then I apologize to pigs of all nations and recommend that Yasser Arafat be fed to pigs, as soon as possible, and with dignity.

LOL, on behalf of all pigs, I accept your apology and pass the Yasser!

I didn't realize you were spokesman on behalf of all the pigs. I think you should sit at the head of the table, -- or trough, as the case may be, -- draw yourself a cold one from a hogshead of ale, and bid all our piggie friends "bon appetit!"

It's a dirty business but someone has to do it.
