Statues with snow on them.

Bump.

I think it's the Chosin Reservoir from the Korean War. Not a retreat - just attacking in another direction if I recall.

It looks like the Korean War Memorial on the National Mall in DC. Just a little larger than life-size platoon of troops in bronze in the field.
Directly south opposite the 'Nam wall.

Makes me freeze just looking at them.

Korean War Memorial, D.C. looks great in the snow.
To: HairOfTheDog
Are they statues?
I've looked at them on two or three different computer monitors today, and it never occurred to me that they might not be real people.
From the resolution of the JPG, I can't tell.

Get real? I replied to the poster that they were statues with snow on them....
I am sorry for not knowing which memorial they came from, but I couldn't tell what the poster wanted to know anyhow. It seemed the poster thought they were 'real' soldiers.

We cannot discuss the pic without the pic. (Major Hint, Willard)
Now that we have the pic, kinda looks fake to me.
Everyone else, pile on! It is a Free Republic.

Did our helmets look like that in Korea?
They don't look like American helmets to me. They look German.

Nah it is just the snow that makes the helmets look German.

They do indeed look very real. With the picture in black and white, I might have thought them real if I hadn't seen that there was snow on them.
