Thanks for posting this. After reading the Time's article I needed the boost. Maybe one by one some rabid radicals will wake up.
Heck I was a tree hugger as a youth myself

"Or risk irrelevance". Yeah, that'd be the worst part of it. Nutjobs killing innocent people, who cares? But precious self important denizens of Salon becoming irrelevant? Shudder...

I wonder how much of this is moved by genuine concern about the problem of terrorism, and how much by the thought that leftists risk losing political power if they push their pet peeves too far? I think rather that there are a few on the left who are smart enough to realize that Islamofascists would kill them too. That the enemy of their enemy is NOT their friend. That Islamofascists are nobody's friend.
You'd think it was a no-brainer, but at least some on the left are not complete fools.

No shame in that. As they say in Return of the King "all we have to do is decide what to do in the time that is given us."

Given me a breaaaak. The left knows all about borders, walls, police and especially terror.

Either this Amnesty Guy is really worried about his own safety, (ie a Democrat who has been mugged) or he is trying to find a triangulation method to keep the left relevant and avoid extinction.

This takes at least a step towards winning back my respect. I do think that Amnesty Int'l stands for some good things (I don't agree with their ideology on all things), but I'm extremely suspicious of their agenda as a whole.
