Well I wouldn`t doubt if it`s true, after all the Roosevelt `rats philosophy seems back then to have been "Let the snake bite first, then cut off it`s head"..Today it`s "Let the snake bite first... and again and again and again..before we cut off it`s head" God forbid it should be the other way around. And since more people died on 911 than Pearl Harbor, would the `rats have been more supportive of Bush if he gave a "Day in infamy" speech as well? Is the threat of terrorism a little more diluted because of that, or do they need a few more 100 "bites"? I guess it`s the thick skulls. It takes a constant pneumatic drilling before we start to break the surface, and even then you`d have to replace those diamond tipped bits a few 1000 times before that happens.

The Pearl Harbor Deception Two big thumbs down. What starts off pretending to reveal dark and long hidden secrets about Pearl Harbor ends up as nothing more than a kindergarten whining and crying session about how mean the other kids are being to little Bobby Stinnett. What a juvenile waste. No wonder the anti-American creeps at AntiWar.com published this.

Tag-team technique to defend government lies also seen recently with respect to another anniversary, that of the JFK assassination.

Stinnett, and anyone who agrees with him, is a moron.
Yep, there were plenty of comms from the Japanese carrier callsigns...
Callsigns that were LEFT IN PORT when the carriers sailed.
A routine practice among military nations (had been done in WWI) interested in deception about ships leaving port. When the ships sail you keep communicating with that ship's callsign from their ports, making it look like they haven't left.
Of course, the main issue is that there's no point for any deception, because the Japanese had NO intention of turning back if discovered, which blows up all conspiracy theories. If we're assuming that the all-powerful, all-knowing FDR had them dancing on a string, gosh, wouldn't he know that too?

Very, very good point ~ the Japanese Navy had no intention of turning back no matter where they might be discovered prior to the attack.
They (the Navy) also didn't understand that the way things turned out it would be interpreted as a "surprise attack".

The issue is, the Democrats (FDR) knew the attack was coming, knew that many Americans would die, knew that this would be enough of a reason to enter WWII, knew that the entire American effort can now be turned to saving the Communist Soviet Union. Period end of story.

Well, perhaps ...
But a note in passing - indeed an objective fact - no raw intercepts of the Japanese naval operations coded signals have ever been released to the public to date.
Yup, Holy Writ, as noted in many text ...nada, none, ... while a ton of German ENGIMA "raw" signals are in the public domain.
So, why is that?
For example, what would these raw Japanese intercepts say ... just consider their headers, their stereo-typical "naval" language, ...
Of course, one could note other oddities concerning Pearl Harbor ... for example, the missing 25 pages from the Roberts Commission report, ... or, ... the "little blue dress" of the AKAGI calls to oil tankers, ... or ...
Very curious after all these years ... but, nonetheless, the facts.

Something I STILL don't understand about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor after years of seeing specials and reading about it
Why the hell did they attack us
We objected to their war in China and embargoed their steel oil supplies from the USA BUT we had NO PLANS to directly confront them with military force that I know of
SO that was no reason for the attack but that is what is always stated as the reason
The only thing I can think of was that they had plans to attack and occupy our possessions in the Phillipines from the get go and then we would have had to fight them

As I wrote before, the USofA's entry into WWII was a Democrat (FDR) program to save "World Government" ie: The Soviet Union. Today 2003, the Demcorats are doing the same thing, destroy the USofA's effort in Irag and turn the program over to the World Government UN.

I have a problem with the 'FDR knew' scenario.
Here's my problem.
Our Pacific Fleet was almost completely destroyed.
I can't imagine FDR or his admin. taking the awful chance of allowing that much destruction to take place and hoping we could recover.
Seems to me if FDR wanted and expected the Japanese to attack he would have had at least some of the capital ships leave port prior to the attack and ensure we could defend ourselves.
If he knew of the impending attack, he was taking the monumental risk of our not being able to respond.
I don't think he would do that.

Oh, I dunno about that. Considering that FDR cut off Japan's oil, and sent the Flying Tigers against them in China, it sure sound like he was trying to pick a fight with the Japanse. Maybe because FDR was a commie and wanted to draw the US into a war with Japan so his butt buddy Stalin wouldn't have to fight a two-front war against the Germans and Japanese?

Stinnet is a bona fide patriot. The fact that the following occurred clearly corroborates his factual reporting:
Immediately after Day of Deceit appeared in bookstores in 1999, NSA began withdrawing pre-Pearl Harbor documents from the Crane Files housed in Archives II. This means the government decided to continue 60 years of Pearl Harbor censorship. As of January 2002, over two dozen NSA withdrawal notices have triggered the removal of Pearl Harbor documents from public inspection.
Stinnet, USN, was there, during the attack at Pearl Harbor. The bozos running the show at NSA today weren't even born yet. Apparently a bunch of these bozos are RATs and are dedicated to expunging historical records of the duplicity of the RAT administration. This same agenda-driven modus operandi persists to this day with the Clintons of course. Anybody asked lately where the White House emails went to? Or how about the 1,100 FBI raw intelligence files on high-ranking democRATs & Republicans that is still firmly in the hands of Hitlery?
I think the country can withstand knowing the truth about FDR. He is not synonymous with National pride and honor. Quite the contrary.

While debunction theory and dissembling is fine for the more intellectual people here, I want to remind you there are still many veterans of that day alive and wondering where the NEWS commentaries have gone?
I have yet to see any mention of the Anniversary Date on the major cable and/or the lesser News.
Before we revise the stories of 60 years ago, perhaps we should remember those who lost loved ones and friends and comrades.
We have 364 other days days in the year left to discuss the insidious side of that day.
LEST WE FORGET.

I believe you have a good point.
My impression from wading through all the charges, stories, and theories is that the Roosevelt administration suspected something was up- but not what, when, and where.
