LSU deserves to be in it. They earned their shot. They played well, peaked at the same time, and beat a very good team in the Georgia Bulldogs, twice in one year no less, a very difficult thing to accomplish.
On the other hand, Oklahoma belongs in the Punch Bowl. They choked in their biggest game of the season. No surprise Bob Stoops didn't show up at the BCS press conference today. He's too embarrassed.
As for me, I'll be in Pasadena on January 1, when the Trojans take it all. And everyone knows we will. We may not be the BCS winner at the end of the season. We'll just have to settle to be the best.
And next year, we'll have to look for new and improved ways for that slimey little ferret Mike Tranghese of the Big East/BCS to screw USC out of its rightful place at the top of the heap.
Two things you can count on next year:
1. USC will be the first unanimous national champion since the Trojans did it in 1972.
2. The BCS will find some way to keep their east coast boys club closed.
