You obviously haven't been following the negotiation with the legislature. Arnold is proposing billions in cuts. Burton, the Democrat Assembly leader, is staunchly opposed to any cuts. This is part of the reason for the impasse. So put aside your preconceptions of Arnold and pay attention to the news.

Can you give me a closer figure on that? I heard under 2 billion in cuts, and a 15 billion dollar revenue increase to the state government, really costing more because of the interest.

In other words, the tax increase (renamed "borrowing")he said he wouldn't do.
