He's pretty active in promoting this. You see his name in the paper all the time in Phoenix.
The Mexican government must be happy with his work. He's being reassigned to head up the consulate in Los Angeles.

Nevertheless, the Homeland Security Department of the United States is reticent about the whole idea, following the attempts suffered on September 11, 2001, which explains the controversy with the Mexican government surrounding the recognition of an official identification document issued by it. Well, you should give credit where credit is due. Reticent is better than willing, able, and happy in MHO. ;-)
