It's not totally inconceivable that Rush could do time because of these doings.

Rush should go straight to jail for the rest of his natural life for committing such atrocities!!
Meanwhile, anyone who is diagnosed with "chronic" alcoholism or drug addiction, should be eligible for continued "disability" income from the government. < /sarcasm >

1,733 hydrocodone pills, If we're discussing six months, that's approximately ten pills a day.

Sad to say, but the case against him is not going to be that difficult to prove if he was doctor shopping.

So, seeking out doctors to treat you the way you wish to be treated is a third-degree felony?
Big Stupid Republican Government can go straight to hell.

I have broken more drug laws than Rush will in a lifetime.
I'm a free man. Rush will be, too.

If Rush were buying crack or crystal meth I would understand.
But becoming addicted to painkillers due to chronic back pain??
Hell, if he was a friggin LIBERAL, I wouldn't prosecute!!
To: Wolfie
Does anybody know: Can the Governor pardon him if it goes to trial and he is convicted?

Florida's "Doctor Shopping" StatuteFlorida's "doctor shopping" statute reads as follows:
Section 893.13(7)(a): It is unlawful for any person:
. . .
8. To withhold information from a practitioner from whom the person seeks to obtain a controlled substance or a prescription for a controlled substance that the person making the request has received a controlled substance or a prescription for a controlled substance of like therapeutic use from another practitioner within the previous 30 days.
"To withhold information" requires some interpretation. Does this statute impose a duty on the patient to affirmatively provide that information even if not requested by a physician to do so, or does it only require a patient to provide the information if and when it is requested by the physician?

Who, amongst us, would vote to convict?
Not I.

This came up on a thread last week and I didn't catch the answer (if anybody had one): Has Rush mentioned Marta at all yet? Thanks.
To: Wolfie
Honestly, who defines "doctor shopping"? And if it's a felony (the degree is irrelevant) Why is my mother-in-law sitting in her home in Dayton Ohio instead of a prison cell in Florida, where she did plenty of doctor shopping for arthritis painkillers? Half, if not more, of Florida's snow bird population has multiple doctors.
Ah, but they vote Democrat, don't they? Some of them twice.
