Great heartwarming stories of the positive developments and human success stories in Iraq -- winning hearts and minds, even if the media doesn't report it.

Every time I read news like this I feel utter disgust for the lamestream media, not only are they lying about what is going on over there, but their ultimate selfish goal is to send these Iraqi's back to the hell that they are emerging from, thanks to the men and women in uniform who are giving their lives for them. They are so selfish and proud and arrogant that in their desire to spread socialist utopia by getting rid of Dubya they are willing to sacrifice all these people they haven't even met.

More news that has made it past the NYT/Washington Post news embargo.
Of course, it's good news in Iraq.

And the media doesn't care one darned bit that their bias-driven "reporting" causes our military families unneeded stress as evidenced by this quote:
"That's what makes the families worry."
Hard to know who I despise worse these days, leftists or their media ho's.

Thank you, FairOpinion. (^: I needed that after reading the equally awesome ~ masculine perspective from a straight-talking reporter w/ the 101st in Mosul.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's a little-known footnote in postwar Iraq that an unassuming Army Civil Affairs captain named Kent Lindner has a bevy of blushing female fans. Every time Lindner checks in on the group of young, deaf Iraqi seamstresses at their factory here, the women swarm him with admiration. "I love you!" one of them writes in the dust on Lindner's SUV.
....on this day, when Lindner and his fellow soldiers are cheered as they fire the deaf workers' boss, a woman who has been locking the seamstresses in closets, holding their pay and beating them, the lack of TV cameras on hand is no surprise.
But later that night, mortars hit nearby. Cameras are rolling, and 15 minutes later folks back home instead see another news clip of Baghdad's latest violence...
Great post, FairOpinion!
Thanks for the ping, RC!
As time goes on and we see all these articles about progress and the Iraqis being pleased, I get more and more P.O'd at the media for ignoring them.
All I can do to counter those jerks is keep e-mailing these wonderful reports, and this is a niiiiiiice bit of ammo. :-)
I read through this story twice, and it was even better the secont time aroud. I knew the media didn't report these types of encounters (with the exception of FOX occasionally)
and I wish there was some way this info could be disseminated to the general population. Keep up the good work.
The leftists and media ho's are one in the same, doncha know?
I share these stories with just about everyone I know. The stories will eventually get out. I just hope there's a tremendous backlash against the media and the libs when this happens.
Thanks for this. It was very uplifting and I, too, will bookmark it.
I know four young people (twenty somethings) who have gone over to do some humanitarian work for several months and this makes me feel better about their situation.
I don't think you need to choose between them, they are one and the same.
