A federal prosecutor who failed to show up in a Baltimore courtroom to seal a plea deal in a drug conspiracy case against a local rap performer was found yesterday fatally shot and stabbed in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania State Police found the body of Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan P. Luna at 5:30 a.m. in a stream bed about six miles northeast of Lancaster, Pa. Mr. Luna, 38, had suffered gunshot wounds and multiple stab wounds to the neck. His car was found nearby.

Screw free-speech. All rappers should be locked up and their mouths duct-taped.

According to a guest on FNC this afternoon, Mr. Luna's stab wounds were created by something the size of a pen knife. Not exactly the weapon of choice for a hitman, is it?

You are assuming that the defendants in the current trial arranged the murder.

Prosecutors are constantly trying cases.

It could easily have been someone he tried years ago, not the rappers

I'm sure the cops are not jumping to conclusions the way you are.

Hardly makes sense to have someone whacked when you've already agreed to plead guilty. Methinks the prosecutor was mixed up in something dirty.

He died of drowning, but his neck and upper chest were perforated apparently. I wonder if he crawled to the creek trying to get away, or was dragged there and left to drown.

This sounds a lot more personal that a cold-blooded contract murder.

Wonder if he knew his assailant? I'll bet he did.

Not precisely. But two would be.

He was called and left the house at midnght. It could have been an informant he knew, who knows.I believe he would not have left the house at midnight, alone, for a person unknown. It did not look contract for sure.

>>a pen knife.

Remember the movie Casino - Jose Piscopo's character kills someone by sticking a pencil (sharpened) in their jugular vein or throat.

You think the Prosecutor was in something dirty? Why, because he was BLACK? Why do some of you always see a conspiracy? The same people who think that Elizabeth Smart was in on her own kidnapping, David Westerfield was set up, I even read today that there were people on this forum who thought that young girl in Minnesota had faked her own abduction. THERE IS PURE EVIL IN THE WORLD.

I detect a faint aroma of blackmail.

But, if the info that I heard is correct, there were a lot of wounds. Meaning someone either didn't know what he/she was doing, or was seriously po'ed/unhinged.

Well, his car was left there. Someone had to plan this well enough to have a get-away vehicle handy. So maybe this was pretty cold-blooded after all.

The fact that he left his house at midnight is strange. Something strange indeed.

Funny how you automatically associate him being involved in something dirty with his race. Actually, the fact that he left his house at midnight after he received a phone call and then he was stabbed to death leads some to believe that he was involved in something bad. Maybe or maybe it was simply a crook he put away at one point. Either one is plausible and has nothing to do with his race. (usually the first one to bring up race is the actual racist).

That would sound like a very stupid move, unless he had been called up by his office. They should be set up to telecommute to avoid needless travel at dangerous times.
