California's going to get better. Thanks for stopping by. Check back here next week for more pictures. There were lots of cameras there. (I'm a former Valley Girl you know. Enadia Way Grade School, Canoga Park.)

This email message received from my friend, Chris Hansen, who is incidentally blind:
Ronald Reagan is now unable to care for himself. Neither is Terri Schiavo. The only signifficance between Ronnie and Terri is this: Nancy wants Ronnie to live; Michael wants Terri to die! So, if life and death depend on whether or not somebody is wanted, then I have a novel solution for those who have marrital problems, or problems with their kids-and who doesn't! If someone isn't wanted, the solution is simple-pull out your gun and ... bang!!! Now doesn't that make life easy?

Love that dragon. Here's a repeat of my friend's quote regarding Terri:

Too bad! Hospice used to have such a good image. Now they've become a killing field in my mind. Seems to me Hospice needs to do something pronto to restore their image . . . like refusing to participate in STARVATION OF THE INNOCENT! Sheeeeeeeesh already!

Besides, he lost any credibility he might have had in that regard when he got on Larry King and was talking about her gynocological "problems." No man concerned for his wife's privacy would even be that crass in a bar, let alone on national television. That's the part of the Larry King Live that really got me. He went into such private details about his wife. I couldn't believe there wasn't more of an uproar about his insensitive statements concerning his wife, who he professed to love.

It is really bothersome and depressing what the Courts and Bar, the Journos and the "Hospice" industry have done in Florida. Sad that one forty year old woman's life is worthless, that she is a bother and nuisance to the rest of us, to her husband in particular. That the woman is worse than trash on the floor to be sweep up and thrown away, that she deserves the humilitaion of her horrid treatment by the virtuous husband, that she should be put to death in a long, slow, painful and most despairing manner, by starvation and thirst, in judicial recompense for her terrible crimes against us, against the state, against the society, and against her dear, caring, suffering husband, a true golden-hearted gentleman who is beloved by them all.
I hope I have summarized the evil of the Florida Courts and cronies in that last bit, and by doing so noted what angst provoked you to post that "shot her now" reply a number of times. I understand -- completely, I'd guess -- how you feel. And don't disagree with your angst one whit.

I think we should all write to that hospice in answer to their request and advise them that not only will we not support them because of their treatment of Terri but we will openly and actively request that others in the community follow our lead. The actions of their health care workers during a recent vigil carrying signs to "Let Terri Die" was inexcusable and in our opinion the true purpose of what Hospice was created to do, give comfort to the dying, and their families, has been lost and in turn replaced with a new meaning of being a euthanasia center. They were not allowing Terri to die, they were creating an enviornment of death for Terri. Then I think we should all write to the home office of Hospice advising them that we will actively work against any further donations not only to this Hospice but to all hospice facilities.
Personally I feel totally different about Hospice since I have been involved with this issue, and Terri. No caring person or group of people could remove a feeding tube from someone and watch them linger and die for weeks. That is just not the American way.

That is the same with me. I always felt that I could trust Hospice to care for someone I love - but I no longer feel that way.
They would be the last people I would have near anyone I cared about.

This is JMO but even before I knew about Teri I have felt that hospice was an unnecessary government program. What can they do that hospital, nursing home, and home health nurses can't (and don't) do. Family members, ministers, neighbors and friends supported each other during these sad times before hospice and did just fine. To me it is a duplication of services.
To: floriduh voter
What a great idea!! Couldn't we write-in Terri's name on the ballot? They couldn't possibly kill off an elected official, could they?
