There is trouble brewing....we have been likes frogs in a pot of warm water. The temperature is increasing daily & we either need to jump out of the pot or we'll get boiled alive.

"The Day" is definitely coming.

I look at the time between now and then as an opportunity to awaken more of the sheeple, and get prepared (physically, mentally, and 'hardware-wise') for what's likely coming.

But I still need to do a better job on all of the above.

I still say it was better that they didn't agree to hear it. We know that 3 Justices, Rehnquist, Thomas, and Scalia would be pro 2nd Amendment. Stevens, Souter, Breyer and Ginsburg obviously would vote the other way. I would bet that both groups were worried that Kennedy and O'Connor could go either way and didn't want to take such a risk

Maybe in the long run its a good thing. If Bush is reelected, there is a good chance that between 2 and 4 justices will retire or any could die. (No, I don't want them to die but given their ages and health problems, its always a possibility.) With the balance of the Court clearly to the right, that would be the time we would want a case like this heard. Do we really want another ruling based on E.U. law like Lawrence v. Texas was?

Most of the sheeple will never be awakened - that's why they're sheeple to begin with. However, the more of them that see their friends and relatives armed - and not shooting up schools, etc., but being responsible members of society and responsible gun owners - the more that there will be a base of passive (but necessary) support (i.e. food, shelter, etc.) for those that may, someday, have to fight for our freedom while on the run.

As to the preparations, history records that in addition to being physically, mentally and "hardware wise" prepared, those who have succeeded in the freedom-fighter "game" have also had lots of supplies of all types squirreled away and have had targets identified in advance. It also has helped to have a large cadre of those who can teach - strategy, tactics and ideology - even if they cannot do because of age or physical infirmities.
