They have every right to be angry, a lot more than we did, back in the day.

Why do they have a RIGHT to be more angry than we did?

To Cyborg:
Oh I thought here on FR all rap was garbage :-(

I read the article, however I was commenting on your PRESUMPTION about FR and RAP. You see, I feel so gay for those who have felt oppressed but now have an identity and a sense of power after taken up rap. You know what I mean.

A lot of people on FR do regard ALL rap as garbage, not knowing anything about the music genre at all. It is no coincidence threads about rap generate a large amount of posts. That's not an assumption, it's the truth. Post anything about certain issues, and you are guaranteed to get at least two or three hundred post threads. Rap is one of them. I say the same things about country music, or at least used to, when I used to post a lot on 'black issues oriented' threads.

They were born into a situation where they, their families and their friends are subject to being killed or maimed en masse at any time, thru no fault of their own. Most of the world is on the side of their enemies. The sympathy of the world's media is daily on the side of the Palestinians. Their country's major ally adds insult to injury by telling the Israeli leaders to not retaliate, to not put up a protective barrier. They know better than those who pontificate from the US that the world appears to be gearing up for another mass murder of the Jews.

I don't know about you, but, IMO, that beats being drafted into Vietnam or busted for pot. And for those born too late for the Sixties/Seventies in the USA, I cannot even think of an issue that would justify anger, bitterness and defiance.

I think these kids personify the phrase:"Never Again" and I don't really care how they express it if it allows them to mobilize to defeat their enemies. If their grandparents had mobilized against the NAZIs earlier and to a greater degree than they did, history might have been a lot different.
