He was jailed in MN. I'm not sure about the usefulness of three strikes laws in general. I'd guess that homicide in the commission of felonies would go up, as "two strikers" try to avoid the mandetory life sentence.

On the other hand, stranger abduction and rape with a weapon, as both of his previous convictions, should be mandetory life/no parole, or death where available.

Seriously, are there people who actually, after having thought about it, defend the proposition that scum like this should not be killed?

No problem. Just add the death penalty when this happens, as an 'unincentive'...

Wasn't it mentioned yesterday that they are proposing a one strike law for scumbags like this. He never should have been out on the streets unsupervised. I wonder how many times he watched Dru from afar before he swooped in and grabbed her. I think she worked at Victoria's Secret which was probably a turn on for him.

If we were back in the old west days he's have been strung up in the center of the town a long time ago and this girl would still be alive.
