If I've done a few secondary searches, I have to click back through several pages before returning to a page with a "post article" link. Can we get the link put back on the search results pages?"

I think this is because the search program now searches all forums. The results page is shared by all forums. You can get to the forum of choice to post your thread in one click by clicking on the forum list in the right hand sidebar.

Is that true of keywords also?

Are keywords still dropped when threads are moved to different forums, or are they retained?
