Another consideration is that nowhere in the Bible do you find an expression of a principle, a story, or an observation from the viewpoint of an animal. In the very book from which we get Mary and Jesus, and all the Old Testament history and parables of law, the only reference to animals are as beasts of burden and food. I don't think there are even any references to pets.

PETA bring religious connotations to their campaign is simply laughable.

If you READ Genesis, you will note that he gave man dominion over the animals BUT said to eat the seed and fruit of the tree! "Dominion" did NOT mean to eat them.
