Why do I have this feeling that somebody like Florida Governor Jeb Bush might have an interest in this case?

He might want to know if the Palm Beach County and Florida state prosecutors have been doing this case using hush money from the Democratic National Committee. If it is, this could result in a number of prosecutors wondering why they're a target of both state AND Federal investigations on why they are going after Rush.

Interesting point, the Courts are in a serious budget crunch because the state is taking over the funding of the courts from the counties. If the state is taking "donations" to pay for investigators and "sources" then those revelations could make all information from those donations and sources as fruit of the poisonous tree and inadmissible. If there is concrete information, the offices of statewide prosecutor would be interested (in addition to the FL Bar)

Jeb Bush's daughter had the same problem and her case was quickly and efficiently directed to the FL Drug Court Program. No special treatment was givent to her.
