Who will take care of him when you are gone? netmilsmom, we are putting that in place right now. We know that there will come a day when he will have to be in a program.( and probably with SSI and partial government funding !), but for now we long to keep him home with us.

A close friend of ours has an autistic child. He is setting up a trust fund for him. It is a challenge but truly, join a support group or have family, friends or church members help you. This is NOT something the government should be handling.

Polly, I'll be praying for you and your family. I knew there would be a cold reaction by some who are fortunate enough to not know the first thing about this topic. Hang in there.
I know this is drastic, but have you considered relocating to another state?
