Yeah (sigh), the culture of death -- even for those who should not be dying! I was talking to someone about this earlier:

Terri is NOT at the end of her life, she is NOT terminally ill. That is what distinguishes her from those that the AARP is concerned about, those at the end of their lives with no hope of getting better (or getting younger!).

You're right, but that is a minor detail. This is an opportunity to advance their agenda much faster than they had dreamed. If they can push this case over the edge and get Terri "put down," they will have their precedent to start eliminating other "non-productive" citizens and they can be the ones to determine who deserves to live and who should die.
