I didn't think it was illegal, either, but apparently in the case of narcotic usage,or other controlled substances, it is. (Many get caught via pharmacy networks-if they are using the same name on the prescriptions.) The pharmacy will note the overlapping prescriptions, notify one of the prescribing doctors.

There are so many things that have been made illegal over the years. Probably we are a whole nation of criminals if they wanted to enforce each and every law on the books. And it's not going to get better.

I've been doing it but not for drugs. I didn't like the first doctor (during exam took phone calls from his stock broker & seemed a little odd) The second one moved too far away. The third was absentminded and had a scary nurse with weird scars all over her arms and had problems in taking a simple blood sample. Now I'm on the forth one.

To make matters worse, Rush was observed going 2-3 mph below the speed limit to Avoid speeding tickets.

I thought Hillary's bill was defeated. Wasn't she the one who wanted to tell each American what doctor they would be permitted to see?

"Going to multiple doctors is illegal???"

In this case it would be highly suspect. That said, he WILL NOT BE CHARGED unless there is either more to this than we know (very unlikely) or he is being subjected to a witch hunt (100% likely).

I do know from personal experience as a defense attorney, I have never heard of or seen anyone charged under this fact pattern!

End of story, no matter how the naysayers want to spin.

So much for "getting a second opinion". Now, if you are Conservative, that is actually "Doctor Shopping".
