Each malvo drawing has an area blootted by a white rectangle.

Any ideas what could be there?

I've just spent some time going over Malvo's artwork. The kid isn't stupid or crazy, that's for sure.

Have the media called the snipers Islamist terrorists yet?

I spotted something of interest in the 3rd picture (the one with the soldier holding the rifle). To the left of the word "JIHAD", there are tick marks in groups of 5. By my count, that makes 42 tick marks. Is it possible that this is a body count?
