Lewis will turn out to have been a prophet if his book The Abolition of Man continues to come true.

I've gotta read that -- I'm re-reading his novel, That Hideous Strength,which borrows a lot from it.... It's mighty discomforting to note the similarities between events in the novel, to events actually going on today.....

From what I understand, he wrote That Hideous Strength because people were having trouble understanding The Abolition of Man.
