I was in the Washington, DC area in October, so we decided to visit the Smithsonian Museums (adults and children). I was astounded at the number of persons that I heard that were speaking Spanish.
I went to a local grocery store, and the same thing happened again.
I mentioned it to my daughter, and she said that it was quite common.
I was wondering who really was running the country when I left.
Considering the failure of NAFTA you'd think the US would go a little slower with this idea. It has done nothing to slow illegal immigration or create wealth in Mexico and neither will any Free Trade of the Americas.
For a country to become prosperous, they must first learn how to do what the US did, make it on their own.
