I agree about not wanting to return.
It's lovely pace has been spoiled, and I'm not willing to have to learn Spanish in order to function there.
Many of the oldtimers have moved upstate to between Orlando and Ocala and Gainesville, or over to the West Coast of Florida beach areas.

I know. Jack's sister moved to Orlando. You know, I was living in Miami when it reached a million people and we thought it was a huge deal. How many there now do you suppose? And and you say, most of them Spanish speaking. I recall the small Cuban coffee shops downtown when I worked for Miami Laundry. Also the sandwiches you could get that were stacked so high you couldn't hold them. It was a colorful and lazy city back then.
