Actually, Gordon may be a Democrat. I've heard that he is. And if you think about it, he would not want to alienate his fanbase by disclosing strongly, one way or the other. When I saw this story, and saw his "scheduling" conflict, it did not ring true. We should try to check out his registration, but I don't know if he's registered in Florida (no income tax?) or NC. Start peelin'........

Well he made this list, but I don't know what to make of that since there is no see why link by his name.

A quick search on google proved fruitless, (I guess there is some modest level of privacy left in the world) but articles that did turn up gave me the feeling that he is a conservative leaning political agnostic.

However I have witnessed him in live pre-race interviews express his support for the troops and for the president which I believe by party rules requires you to burn your DNC card ;)

Regardless Gordon one of the great drivers! (IMHO)

He was the driver most responsible for bringing the sport to the year 2000 and the modern era with almost every race on network TV, not just Daytona, Charlotte, Bristol.

Just as Darryl was there to bring it to the 80's and help us believe their just might be life after Petty, Jeff Gordon brought young blood and a lot of new young fans to the race.

It is great now as He is increasingly refered to as a Veteran to see him step up and lead NASCAR to improvements, and in the last 5 races I started to see some of the fire from his youth return.

Man remember when he went down on the apron to pass near the infield at Daytona for the win? The next year, yellow line rule! ;)

P.S. just so you know what camp I come from I also love the Waltrips, Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Newman (pure muscle the guy is always on the wheel, I have never seen someone save a loose car as well as he does), Rusty, Jarret, the Labonte's and Kenseth.

Spencer (who has the heart, the passion and not always the car to win) and Jr. (I was an anti-fan of Sr. but respect the family and loved how he slammed restrictor plate racing every year even when he won) and SMOKE are quite entertaining, I'm usually checking out any pass they make.

I could do without Robbie Gordon, Kevin Harvick, especially Robbie, not my favorites, I wince as they go by. I think Robbie owns the majority of of donuts on the door given, cars turned, and he will race just about anyone into wall when he 3 laps down. I firmly believe he thinks he invented the saying 8 are better than 4. I don't like to watch it.

But hey without him who would I have to dislike?

Wouldn't surprise me that Jeffie is a rat, as I have heard that he ... well how do we say this ...isn't there is a reason why the court records were sealed when Brook divorced him.

Does Jeffie know Micheal Jackson?
