Why would it surprise anyone if a Green was elected to lead San Francisco? A more liberal city doesn't exist in America.

I hope the Greenie wins. Then SF can collapse into the Pacific under the massive weight of socialism.

It gets pretty bad when the RATS have to call out their heavy hitters to re-elect a mayor. :O)

I am quite prepared to cede San Frangayco to every left wing, radical, enviro-freak, Manson-loving organization that wants it.

If they congregate there the rest of the country will be considerably more normal!

This article doesn't mention SurveyUSA's polls which have Gonzalez narrowly ahead. Very unusual demographics; 18-34 year old voters very strong for Gonzalez, 55+ very strong for Newsom, and although older voters are more likely to vote than younger voters, the disparity isn't as large as in other cities.

Newsom made a deal with a former rival and got her endorsement, and Willie Brown played the race card against Gonzalez. These moves have the potential to backfire. It's going to be a bumpy ride.

We'll see if tonight's debate makes a difference.

Terminating Gray Davis decapitated the Democrats;
Losing San Francisco to the Greens will tear out their Heart!

This will come to a head when AlGore visits to endorse the Willie Brown tool Newsom. The Gonzalez Greens might protest, blowing the split up onto the national scene.

Hillary has no chance against Bush with the Greens siphoning off Democrat votes, led by the Mayor Of San Francisco.
