I posted this on the thread covering the beast's face time with Couric this AM. It fits here too, so I'll bore y'all with an additional link...

From the Drudge-linked coverage of her 'tour':

"We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome (in Iraq) is not assured," she said…Clinton said it is still an open question whether the Bush administration can make the transition in Iraq from a war zone to an independent, representative government. In an interview with the Associated Press, she called for United Nations assistance in the process…The morale of the troops, she said, "is very high," but she said the military personnel with whom she spoke wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."…"Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing,' " Clinton said she replied, "but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies. "

Very nice of the hissing witch. Go over, praise the troops and at the same time whisper about a possible quagmire and confused leadership. In the linked article, notice that she also calls for increasing the military's size by 10,000 troops. Where was that sentiment when they carved up the military during her administration?

It is also interesting (and Republicans better take heed) that Hillary and Reed are taking the tack of calling for speeding up delivery of Humvees with more armor and more body armor for the troops. The Humvees are in the pipeline somewhere, but the beast does the expedient thing of calling for 'speeding up' delivery. It would be interesting to discover if she, in fact, has voted for the kinds of spending bills that would have allowed such changes and funding. I kind'a doubt it.

BEWARE OF THIS TACTIC: There is NO real concern for troops when a politician, who despises the American idea of the citizen soldier, hates the organizations and traditions which they serve, spits on their codes and sense of patriotism, criticizes their missions, leadership and the country which they serve and, yet, strives to provide the finest in Band-Aids with which to bind their wounds.

There is also a lesson in this for many on the right side of the aisle. The RAT Wellstone made a career out of 'caring' for veterans by adding a little pork to all kinds of bills to help secure the VA, VFW and American Legion votes. This tour by the beast is further evidence that the RAT's have patented the 'caring' for the troops while hating the military angle. Lackadaisical Republicans and pro-military conservatives better be aware of that strategy and do some heavy lifting for the troops on their own.

bump!

In my view, it is not too soon for us to launch a movement to have this woman removed from office. She and her co-rapist husband are a clear and present danger.

Surely, some of the massive amount of indictable stuff in their FBI files could... uh... leak out.... The sheer symmetry of it would be poetic justice, for a start....

... strives to provide the finest in Band-Aids with which to bind their wounds.

It's not Band-Aids -- it's pre-emptive blaming. If something bad happens -- as Hillary and the Democrats hope -- then they can refer to their earlier statements and say, "If only ...".
