Missing Israeli Navigator alive and held in prison near Tehran
JERUSALEM (AFP)
Israeli navigator Ron Arad, missing since his plane came down over Lebanon in 1986, is alive and being detained in a prison near Tehran, three exiled Iranian officials revealed.
Top-selling Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot stressed however that it was unable to check the reports, which come at a sensitive time in negotiations for a prisoner exchange between Israel and the Tehran-backed Lebanese militia Hezbollah.
The newspaper's sources were two intelligence officers and a diplomat who fled Iran in recent years.

If this is true, shouldn't they be handing him over like, right now? Iran and Israel are not at war, they don't have the right to hold prisoners, especially prisoners taken in Lebanon, and this will be a perfect chance to blow up some nuclear facilities while they're over there.

"If this is true..."
And therein lies the crux of the matter. Iran denies having him. Some say he was there, but has been moved.
Some say he died long ago.

Hey, I got an idea. Let's refer this to the UN Human Rights Agency. Surely his imprisonment violates the UN Charter and the Geneva Convention. He should be receiving Red Cross visits, mail and humanitarian supplies.
Better still. Israel could nuke Tehran. Maybe that would get the Ayotollahs attention. Concurrently we could ask Jesse Jackass and Jimma Cartier to go to Tehran on a piece mission! (Sarcasm Alert)
