I still have a pair of blue ones (go ahead) in the basement junkroom. I seen them just last year.

I put one in my lagoon. All the fishes jump out of the water at the same time. It's pretty cool. You can take inventory of the fish. heh-heh-heh.

The projectiles didn't move fast enough to break a pane of glass, but they could have certainly "put somebody's eye out" under just the right circumstances.

When I was 8, I had eye surgery in NYC for a congenital problem.

I was in a 16 bed boy's ward. The other 15 patients were all there for BB gun or slingshot injuries.

FWIW.

I heartily endorse these! I doubt the neighbors of my youth felt the same way, though.

The "Midnight Camoflage" Haloween costume was great.

Ah yes, the "invisible pedestrian" costume!

I won't say anything, but eBay usually has Lawn Darts up for auction at any given time. I'm quite certain some moron will blow the whistle on that one.

A good toy to go along with erector sets are model steam engines. I got a model 75 Jensen when I was 5, I still have it w/ original box. My brother shot the glass out with a BB gun, but I was amazed to find Jensen still in business, still in Jeanette, PA, and still selling parts. The production manager or whoever, sent me a box of parts and told me to take what I needed, and send the rest back with my payment. Not too many people do business that way anymore!

They have various models from $50 to $5000 - and are a great toy for kids, and look nice too.

Ever crack the neighbor's swimming pool with a waterproof M-80? I did.

Bah! You kids with your pre-packaged fire crackers. Try making your own gun powder and then having to find ground up aluminum or zinc. That's what we had to do in the '80's because the jokes that were being sold as M-80's by then wouldn't even blow through coke can.

Any of you ever melt crayons in a tin can and dunk your fingers in the wax?

To this day, I can't resist the temptation to dip my fingers in the melted pool of wax at the top of candles!

Let's not forget the Mattell guns that used "Greeny Stickem" caps. Had a few burns on the hands from setting off sheets of those with a hammer lol

The SuperBall was an amazingly good toy. Why don't they have them anymore?

You can't argue with somebody trying to protect kids.

The Left knows this all too well, and has been using it with great success for at least a decade, now.

I'm not going to say a word about the huge report shells we made from ultrafine German aluminum and potassium perchlorate . . . nope, not a word.

And I certainly won't say anything about mixing iodine crystals and amonium hydroxide together...no way. I definately won't mention mixing it into a paste and smearing it on the back of the science teachers desk drawer. Not one word.
