Before people start going off on Walt Rogers, he was one of the few good guys at CNN. He was with the Third of the Seventh as it spearheaded the assault on Baghdad. Some damn fine reporting in those days.
He's not a perfumed prince in from New York. Rogers earned his spurs.

I watched Walter Rodgers on CNN a little bit ago. He was standing 18 inches from John Hinckley when he shot Reagan. He said Jim Brady landed on his feet after he was shot. He was quite adamant about wanting Hinckley to never get out, even said he was glad he was in Iraq and not in the states if Hinckley got out. His vehemence about it was stunning.
