War was never declared. So if you are counting the "war on terror" as a war, when will it end? Five years? Ten? Or will it have no end, like the ultra-successful "war on drugs"?
The "war on terror" will never end, as long as law enforcement and government officials can use it as an end to their means. And until it does, Jose Pedilla is the first of many that will have their rights rescinded.
If anyone doubts this, simply look at the classes that the gov't is giving local law enforcement on ways to use the PATRIOT Act on non-terrorists. But it's okay, because Republicans are running the show, right?
