A foolish assertion. The bill allows for limited competition, beginning in 2010, and only in select metro areas. Congress may or may not act upon the results, but history has shown us that entitlement programs of this sort only expand once enacted. To react in the way you propose, this program would have to defy every historical precedent. The points made in the subject-article of this thread are far more grounded in reality than the claims that Medicare will simply dissolve into the free market.

BTW, I really enjoyed the fact that, in one sentence, you claim the "complaints" are invalid since they're not reality, and shortly thereafter you make the wild and totally unfounded assertion that Medicare will not exist in 10 years. Yours is a contradictory argument that collapses under its own weight.
