How's this?

As a retired military member, I find the statements by Sen. Hilary Clinton in Iraq to be undermining the efforts of President Bush and the joint military forces in the Middle East and around the world who are fighting for this country and for the possible liberty of millions of oppressed people around the world.

I respectfully request an action taken to censure her, as her actions are unwise, and destructive at this point. Talking down the president's policies, along with the wishes of a Congress that represented the people with a vote to use force to topple Saddam from his position is way out of line. Her actions are a direct attack upon military morale, and could very possibly create a detrimental and dangerous atmosphere for the dedicated troops in the region. Furthermore, it would be welcome from here (but probably unlikely) if she were investigated for the possibility of treason for her undermining actions. Thank you for your time.

Red, I think this may be a little easier to read and get across the same sentiment for us. Thanks for the letter.

"How's this?"

Whereas I appreciate the efforts of someone to correct my sentence structure, sometimes it changes the overall position of the writer. You created a major flaw in your entry:

"it would be welcome from here (but probably unlikely) if she were investigated for the possibility of treason"

Welcome? I don't think so. With all the publicity of the terrorists in the country feeling better justified using their tactics to fight Americans when they feel our troops are lacking support, I don't welcome the investigation, I feel it is required. She knew what she was saying, planned on the speech, and is trying to politicize the war as an attack on Bush to attempt to get him unseated or put a bad taste in the voters' mouths at the next, and next, elections. And she is doing it at the expence of soldier's lives as these people kill to better themselves in addition to harming the infidel (us) actions. You can't reason with them, you can't even talk intelligently with them. Their Bible tells them to kill, period! And they relish in the idea that dying for their beliefs can be better than living them.

Therefore, I didn't want to see anything like "but probably unlikely" in my letter. That can be read as I accept that it will not happen and I will go away if it doesn't.

Your letter is much prettier than mine, and was well thought out and inked. But, it doesn't get my, not ours, point across with it's obvious flaw from my thinking. I am not a diplomat, just an old, retired, beat up military member that may see things as a little more black and white than you if your more cautious letter is a sound indication of your thoughts. But Hilary's knowingly taken actions are ebony, not even dirty white. (And extremely dangerous as previous media entries have proven) I don't give leeway for that, I demand action. You are a bit more passive than I.

Your letter may get a point across, just the same as the person that was screaming into the phone. Not every person has great grammer skills. But not every scholar has common sense. All kinds of people makes us strong. You do it your way, I'll do it mine. Both are acceptable.
