You made perfect sense. But, I think it's going to be a little different that you imagine.

It may be quieter on the crying front, but the 'noise' and the work load changes.

For instance, when my preteen grandson asked me what I thought about Britney Spears, not wanting to stomp on his opinion, I said I didn't know. He said that his mother didn't like her because she wore short skirts, and went on to say that he thought she looked really cute in short skirts.

I immediately said to myself "Yeeessss". The kid is straight! lol

My point is that it changes, and you can't stop it, so go with the flow and enjoy every minute of it.

lol....my boys and girls know daddy likes girls a lot...I try to be "above it all" but they know.

my girls know I don't like the salaciousness heaved their way with abandon from society but they also know I would admit ashamedly that Britney was sort of cute in that parochial school skirt...ugh...scary. All that gets a lot more "real" when one's own daughters enter the teens and are not "elephant legs"..lol. They know I think Aguilera and Pink are skanks on the other hand. I'd prefer they liked Mandy Moore but that ain't happening.

My lads are too young to tell. They sure seem awful aggressive and are sure not sissified at all which is a good sign in that arena and the eldest has expressed admiration of mommy's "big boobies"....another good sign from a 3 year old I hope. I'd love them anyhow but it would be trying.

I know full well that it is not fair that I and my wife for that matter apply somewhat different parameters on that sort of behavior for boys and girls.

I have explained to my daughters that yes....I realize that it is not fair and yes...I am a hypocrite but the ramifications for carelessness or God forbid promiscuity for them are much more dire than for boys as a rule. Just one of life's unfair consequences and they had better listen.

I hope they do, I have sure not forgotten life as a teen in the early 70s and I doubt you have either. Makes me queasy.

Nite!
