What I'm upset about is my 20 Democrat: me ratio in my family. It's ripping us apart - or, rather, would TOTALLY rip us apart about now but I'm not mouthing off as much as I usually do, right now.
This truly is a fight for the nations' soul, and the Rats have a horrific tractor-beam on the minds of the otherwise decent Southern Democrats.

FYI, I have some, not many Dem friends, my very best friend and neighbor comes from a very Catholic, old time Dem family and she would NEVER change. However, I have been very successful in getting these people to admit that the Dem party has been highjacked by the extreme liberals and the "party isn't the same as it used to be." Almost every one of their ideaologies is conservative based and when they hear and understand this rationale, they love it because it allows them a reason to be critical of their own party. Has been working well and thought you might like the idea. Rome wasn't built in a day..............

This is not the time to be quiet about it. I moved my husbands family from Democrat to Repbulican and it took being the black sheep of the family for a few years. Pointing out the damage liberals do, predicting and being right about where their destruction would lead, awakening their moral judgment.
The only hold out was his brother and sis in law, die hard democrats. We ended up not speaking for about five years. It took both brothers facing death while each faced down cancer to somewhat heal the wounds.
For me there is no middle ground in my Chritianity, my principles, or my politics, and I'm not shy about asking others to choose a side and act on it.
