Rosentiel's comments are especially idiotic. The reporters didn't lie; they just waited 2 1/2 hours until Bush had left Baghdad before reporting that he had been there. Journalists often get information that is "embargoed."

Moreover, withholding facts "because it serves a larger truth" is precisely what reporters do when they use anonymous sources.Exactly. "Bush" was an "anonymous source", until "the source" permitted release of the news regarding the trip. The rest of the "Press Corps" needs a nap.

I think it is commendable that Bush went to Iraq to visit the troops. The comments by Iraqis complaining that Bush didn't see more of Iraq makes me wonder if they didn't just want to make him a target.
