On Jan. 5, the Jones Radio Network will introduce Schultz's 3-6 p.m. show (Eastern Time) in 11 small U.S. markets...
Big comedown from being syndicated in MANY MAJOR radio markets as was origingally planned until the Drobny's and their ANSHELL media bailed out of this loser of a project.
"The bottom line is that I'm a proven radio talent."
Now you know why I call him Blowhard Ed.

This is so FREAKING hilarious. The mindset of the Libs (and I used to be one, so I know) is stuck in elementary school. "Hey, they got successful by having a big, bombastic guy on the radio! The solution to our problem is to get ANOTHER big, bombastic guy to be on the radio, TOO! Phew, whatta relief!"
Or, to paraphrase the old Life cereal commercial, "Let's get Eddie!"
FReegards, PJ!

whos this bozo? never heard of em, hopefully, never will again... Blowhard Ed was on the tube recently bragging bigtime about how he's gonna beat Rush because he was about to be syndicated in most of the major radio markets. Then the Drobny's who did a whole song and dance act about this project bailed out and now this fool Blowhard is left with nothing but a handful of small radio markets syndicated by something called the Jones Radio Network (never heard of them).

I've seen him on a couple talking head shows, Scarborough for one, and 'blowhard' is the ideal term.

Watch for Blowhard Ed to be ditched even by the tiny Jones Radio Network.

Ed Schultz is well known in Fargo for shooting his dog. While filming an outdoors show of which he was the host, he lost his temper with his dog, and shot him on purpose. That part of the film was edited out for broadcast, but everybody knows the story.
Call his show and ask, "Hey Ed! How's that dog?"

"...we have 44 million who don't have health care coverage." ...we have 44 million who don't have health care coverage insurance. Those who need care are not turned away from our publicly funded hospitals/clinics. He's not even on the air yet and he can't tell the truth.
Oh, I forgot -> liberal = lieberal.

I have the weird, unsettling feeling you're not kidding.

Schultz is angry about the state of the country. Ask him about the budget and he snarls, "There is no end game."
Education . . . "under-funded." Veterans . . . getting shafted . . .
Health care . . . lacking "I'm for universal health care . . ."
The U.S. is "a country of haves and have-nots" . . .Geez! The only thing is guy is missing is, "I Speak Truth To Power."
What's he going to use for bump music -- Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young's Four Dead in Ohio?

Jones Radio Network (never heard of them). They are a closely held media company that I think started as mostly cable but have branched out. It looked like a guy trying to do the Ted Turner miracle again. I remember them from when I first started working on Wall Street, I was looking for obscure companies with multiple classes of stock to find arbitrage situations. They were so closely held that there were no opportunities unless you had an in at the company. I just took a peek at their latest 10K and Glenn Jones still holds about 91% of the voting shares, and over 93% are in his and other insider hands.
Yeah, I think Ed will be short lived.

"It's no coincidence that the ascent of Rush Limbaugh and his combative brand of right-wing `talk radio' programming coincided with the rise of Newt Gingrich and this new strain of Republicanism," Daschle wrote in his book, "Like No Other Time."Does this idiot daschle think that this radio program is going to propel the Dems back into power? They really have nothing at all to offer, do they?

He was on C-Span for an hour. Nothing new to say. As Rush says, they are getting their message out, and people are just not buying it, anymore. He has rash new ideas like pay teachers more. Yawn.
To: ClaireSolt
Nothing new to say. And a most obnoxious way of saying it.

"Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I ask that you lay off the dog incident. A dog that disappears in the CRP and reappears when a pheasant flushes with the dog jumping up is an accident. I hunt and fish with Ed a few times here and there and he's an alright guy. You don't have to agree with him, but feel for someone who loses a pup to a tragic incident...and I wouldn't want to keep hearing about it over 10 years later." http://nodakoutdoors.com/members/phpBB/fishing/viewtopic.php?t=537&highlight=
Upon more research, perhaps there's more to the story than the local rumor I quoted above....which I've heard from two separate sources.
