How about the Elian Gonzalez raid? I don't have the thread bookmarked. That has to be one of the best I've ever read.

I was on that thread, and too wish I could locate it. I was on FR in the wee hours with Roseanne's train-wreck talk show on my TV when the station broke into the show with the video of the Feds dragging Elian out.

Re the sun: there was a thread about the Vile Chicks on which a poster referred to one of them planning a concert on the sun. Somebody said "Isn't the sun kind of hot?" And one of the Chicks said "We know that, silly! We're going at night!"

Soyuz Re-Entry Live Thread

Yep, that is indeed the Soyuz Re-Entry thread...if you read it you can see that it was pretty gripping, and bewildering as the major media completely ignored the story as it was happening. A couple days later the papers finally got around to writing about the wild re-entry ride of the astronauts and them being missing after the off-course landing.

How do you search for real old posts? I remember getting a early scoop off drudge's website (something with Clinton and Monica). Many doubted I released some big time info before the rest of the big media sources could release it (drudge included). After that Drudge changes his posting website mmanagement practices, so I couldn't easily get the breaking news any longer.

That Emperor Clinton STILL frightens me, mainly because S(l)ick Willie believes he doesn't need Presidential nomination/Senate confirmation to change his base of operations to the UN. Looks like we've got a 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th :-)

How do you search for real old posts?

Go to google. Type in at least one fairly unique word or phrase you definitely remember, preferably from the headline. Enclose phrases in quotes. At the end of the phrase or word, type a space and then site:www.freerepublic.com. That will limit all returned entries to those from FR.
