I have to give Lynn credit for one thing though, that was the first I heard about Rush. I was going to a job interview in Pittsburgh in late 89 and along the way to the interview I scanned the radio and she did the mid-morning(9-12) show on WTAE(1250) and she was ranting in her liberal glory on how this crazy conservative, Rush Limbaugh, had his show on tape on WTAE on weekends, IIRC it was between 1-5 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Well I tuned in and said finally a conservative voice in the media.
We all know the rest of the story story from there. Talk about irony, Lynn is now working at a small wattage Pittsburgh station(maybe, I'm not exactly sure) that Rush started at in Pittsburgh in the early 70's.
I've adored this website for almost as long as it's been around. I'm an old fart, 57 years. I've read here forever, and appreciated the wit and wisdom here. I consider FreeRepublic much more superlative than any other site. No site comes in second place!
Here is the scoop on Jim Quinn!
He is honest to the bone. He uses this little phrase to say something to all, "the ugly truth is a beautiful thing". He gives you the scoop, and he says, assimilate it.
As is indicated by this article that he may be heard by a larger audience in the future, this nation will be much better off, and conservatism will grow. He stands upright for the Constitution and for all of us to take part in protecting it. He's a solid citizen, is a very humorous host, and has a great deal of give and take with his callers. In three hours of his show most listeners do become so much more informed and stronger and more informed Americans.
He is truly one of the REAL good guys. I would hope everyone reading this will check him out. Damn, he's 61 years old. He's not getting any younger. Please check him out, because he loves this country, and tells the truth about us.
Well, that's about it.
"The ugly truth is a beautiful thing."
Yep. One very, very honest fellow. And he just might have a little Martha Stewart in him. ;)
KQV, Jeff Christie - spinning those groovy sounds. You gotta start somewhere.
Lynn was a sweatheart back a couple of decades ago, now she is, unhappily, taking on that bitter liberal stance.
Tom Daschle, "I am so saddened".
Yes. Jim and Rose had a dinner for David out in Greensberg a while back on a cold winter night.
It's amazing that so much truth is never exposed. I'm not asking Jim to do it, too much personal trouble, but if anyone can do it, it's Senor Wenses!!!
What is "RCAC" and is there free food and an open bar?
Don't worry, when Lynn thinks of Carter, Clinton, or any lefty her heart probably sweats so much the sweat oozes out of her unshaved armipits(you know Lynn has to be so French).
LOL!
Seriously(seriesly for FR regulars :^), I am not a resident of Allegheny county and wouldn't feel right attending. The following may seem trite Hack, but keep up the good work, it is appreciated.
Yes, and he's also been much more overly critical of the *hitty equipment at the station lately. He really seemed to have wanted to make a change, and America NEEDS this young 61 year old to keep on truckin'!
Here's hoping Rose can still find some goodies to munch on at the new digs while he's trying to read the commercials!
But I wouldn't doubt that Lynn holds Jacques Chirac(current president of France) in high esteem(especially for his "standing up" to that "cowboy" Bush). And IIRC, it was a French diplomat who called Israel a "shitty little country".
He's been married only once as far as I know and has two children. Do you have other info?
"And how many times has he been married at this point? Not an exemplar of conservative family values....."
To which Shethink13 replied:
"He's been married only once as far as I know and has two children. Do you have other info?"
St13, I believe that you are right. He's only been married one and supports his children.
Bowyer, the purported exemplar of conservative values is now married to the woman with whom he carried on an affair while he was married to his first wife, according to people who know him and his first wife.
I think that I qualify as a Quinn basher. Several years ago, I coined the phrase "Payday Patriot" to refer to him. If he isn't getting paid, he doesn't lift a finger for the conservative cause.
He was dead wrong on Y2K. I think that he was blinded by the money making potential.
That said, I listen to his show whenever possible. When he has a personal appearance, I try to make it. His message is good and I rarely find him to be wrong.
Where is he overboard with Vince Foster? I've met a lot of the people involved with the case, including Patrick Knowlton. I've been to Fort Marcy Park. I've read a lot of the reports. I've not heard him misspeak, lie, or exaggerate. What do you know that I'm missing?
