The news media seem to be suffering collective amnesia about President Bush meeting privately with some families of US soldiers killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan. At least one such meeting took place at the White House.

Has anyone found any evidence of a sitting American president attending a private funeral of a soldier killed in action? General memorials honoring more than one person don't count.
