President Bush made a surprise visit to our troops in Iraq today, he arrived on Airforce One at Baghdad International Airport just after dark and surprised some 600 soldiers before being served a full course traditional Thanksgiving meal. President Bush was greeted with a thunderous applause from the surprised troops that clearly touched the Commander-in-Chief

President Bush's speech to the troops (in it's entirety) in Iraq has been repeated over and over all day by every cable news outlet. I know it's a holiday and the regular commentators have the day off, but this is also a day when almost every American is home spending the day with their families and watching the tube.

What America saw today was a great leader showing the troops he sent into battle, that he is willing to leave the comforts of his Ranch and the company of his family, in order to spend the day with them.

This was a great day for our troops and a great day for America

What an awsome day. The troops will remember this for a very long time, that their Commander in Chief took time out of his Thanksgiving to spend time with them. This will boost morale for the coming weeks or months.

The lonely cries of spoiled brats who no longer get their way. Their crying and whining will only make more people want to ignore them, and as it continues, more and more people will make the decision to part company with these pathetic whiners and side with a Cammander-in-Chief who has earned the respect of the Nation.

Thanks, Peach. It was from the heart, but I confess it wasn't original...

We have much to be thankful for, and at the top of the list is President Bush.

Merry Christmas!

It's a shame...even while I was watching this the first time today, I was wondering what the rats and media's response would be.....Mike, my hubby refers to the press as cockroaches...scurling around and crawling out of their holes when they think they have a story...he's so right.

The news of president bush's visit has spread like wild fire across Iraq, My brother emailed me from Iraq to say how much everyone there appreciated the president visiting Iraq, and especially because he put himself in harms way in a time when airline companies were halting flights to Iraq.

This is a big deal to those who are serving in the Military and even the civilians over there.

President Bush hit a home run today

Mike is so right about the media .. what I heard tonight is beyond words.

They have sunk to a new low .. Just who do they think they are??

My Brother tells me that most of the FOX reporters are appreciated, He said that they have some foriegn correspondents are not appreciated a bit. But by a wide margin, FOX is a big winner in Iraq

Mike says that he has never seen the press in Balad...then one day a Chinook was shot down and Balad was swarming with them...if it bleeds it leads...they then scurried back to their hotel rooms in Baghdad.

My brother says the exact same thing. He says that they usually never leave Baghdad unless there is dead soldiers to report on. He tells me that a good portion of the media maggots are literally hated by the troops

Thanks so much, Mike ...this is a GREAT day in America! This is a leader ... a man among men! I have cried every time I've seen the clip of him coming around the curtain and the exuberance of the troops. They'll remember this day the rest of their lives, as will we. That he would travel 27 hours to spend 2-1/2 hrs., at great risk, to show our troops the level of his deep regard for them and his commitment to them and the mission is just breathtaking! The man is incredible.

Speaking of the whiners, I had seen comments made on the forum on what was going on over at the DU board .. I went and looked for myself. These people are vile! This election will be THE dirtiest, lowest ever in our history. Eagles up, FREEPERS! We have our work cut out for us .. I have NO doubt of the outcome .. we're just gonna get exposed to a lot of fleas, ticks and toxins in the process. These are just SOME of the threads ... I'm incredulous at the malice and bitterness .... these people are truly blinded by their hate .. they need prayer badly ... maybe even an exorcism.

You must keep in mind that those who frequent DU have an average IQ that is lower than the average room temperature at a Hospital. To consider those Cretans at DU as a serious challenge, is giving those morons at DU way too much credit.

Those juveniles over at DU have a major problem if they expect to debate the issues honestly, and that obstacle is the FACTS.... You see... The facts are not on their side and therefore they can't seriously debate the issues, all they can do is whine from the sidelines about why nobody is listening :-)
