I bring a message on behalf of America: We thank you for your service, we are proud of you and America stands solidly behind you," Bush told about 600 soldiers, who were stunned to see the president emerge from a side door inside a military mess hall at Baghdad International Airport.

YUP! Here are a few samples of those agonized spasms:
He's such a coward! He's a wimp just like his dad. All secrecy and lies. All spin and PR. He has NO GUTS. He's a WIMP!
May he rots when he goes to hell.
I hope Karl Rove is sitting in front of his multi-bank TV station choking on his turkey.
Great move KKkarl.
Don't worry about him being in great danger..look how he scadaddled around on 911...that says it all.
There was nothing imaginative or creative here. It was just a secret..and Bush will be fighting the secrecy issue soon. I see this as another Rovian goof..like many in the past.
What I want to see is Bush being driven around in an open HumVee. Brilliant move on his part for the Right Wing but how obscene.
The ONLY terrorist in the world is Bush and this administration.
This Will Enrage The Iraqi Resistance Movement!
And finally a moment of truth by one DUmmy:
As much as I detest the guy, I think he managed to pull off a good one here.
And yet another moment of truth sadly faced by a DUmmy:
Are you guys listening to the soldiers cheer him?@! As an old soldier, I am so sad! How blind can they be those poor young men and women?
And how many hungry people could have been fed today with that money? Just asking.
campaign appearance
This does seem like a 'wag the dog' type scenario, doesn't it? Bush is too chickenshit to go to Iraq, unless Rove forced him to for his re-election campaign.
Oh...now a [CNN]reporter FINALLY makes the connection between his* visit and Hillary's. paraphrase: "This COULD be seen as upstaging her.
More than a little ironic that he has come here and upstaged her." Reply from anchor: "Maybe there's a little political stuffing in that turkey." Well, no shit.
...And the elated troops are too stupid to understand this, so Dubya' is really making hay, politically, for the troops are in an absolute euphoric state because of his visit.
Gawd, I just love it! When Dubya' was introduced, he was introduced as a representative of the CIC to give a speech. The reaction of the troops when Dubya', himself, appeared was very memorable to say the least.
It was a sight to behold. It wouldn't surprise me if 75% of active military vote for Bush in '04 (no stats, just gut feeling).
I disagree, this one ranks an "OUTRAGEOUS" speech from the "un"respected Senator.
Only 75%??
Personally I would opt for a much higher number, and lest we forget, their stateside family members!
Situation normal then for that appears to be a perpetual state of mind of members there regardless of anything.
Wow! You guys should read your own post's
You will see what a bunch of sniveling children you are. I am amazed at the absolute hatred you display because of someone who does not think like you. I am even more amazed at liberals like you who just donât get it. You don't seem to understand that there is this very large and dangerous group of people who if had the chance, would kill you and your family without hesitating. The President made the point in his speech why our soldiers are making this sacrifice. It is better to fight the terrorists there than it is to fight them here. I am very grateful on this Thanksgiving Day that the people who you would want in change, are not in charge.
BTW, what a great and proud day it was today to see a real President in action.
Grow up you little children
One would hope to watch the station for REAL news happening in the country and various places around the world and it looks like all they do is keep looping the same old tapes.
"Who's 'The Man'?"
Don't say that!
The way the political winds are blowing, that could very well mean a wish for bad tidings to Dubya' voters in '04! : )
