Hey, Elanor, did it ever occur to you that some people just do what they think is the right thing to do?Eleanor Skeletal Clift is one of the ten most bitter and perfectly ugly people in the world. I really wish FoxNews would quit using her. I'm losing too much weight from barfing when she's on.

Bullish is a very solid guy. But Bushs' suprise entrance to our troops brought tears to my eyes.
GOD bless our great President and our magnificent soldiers!

Yeh, and my favorite food really is turkey. And I'm dying smelling the aromas in this house right now. I have to eat SOMETHING! And I just saw that still of G.W. holding that huge, beautiful platter of turkey and fruit.
God Bless America.(BTW, that is not a declaration or a command, it is only a prayer!

I love our President. My only question...does Dick Cheney have to stay in the bunker while GW is traveling to and from Iraq?

Can't you just imagine what the troops thought when they saw him? Will the dims dims call this a dirty trick? Grandstanding? They wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Presidents do this sort of thing. LBJ did it in Viet Nam. Nixon went to see the troops there too.
To: buffyt
It doesn't work for me either (using IE6) but I'm certain I'd read in a couple of places they've disabled scrolling and also flashing too.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the MiddleEast press, especially alJazeera, says about the trip. His courage will probably be interpreted as arrogance if they report it at all.
The B.B.C. (which is a close cousin of Al Jazeera mostly) barely managed any spin on this at all; and did report is as a brave action which aided troop morale no end. They mentioned that it will aid the re-election campaign (i.e., having a leader who leads, and who loves his troops will help the re-election campaign), and the commentator said that we should feel slightly for Sen. Clinton whose visit is now away from the headlines, the latter point made me fall over laughing.
Poor poor Sen. Clinton.

Re-election etc....
Fox reported that he visited with the Iraqi council as well and met with Bremer.
His appearance and discussions with them will increase their stature as well. Just as the Queen appearing with President Bush helps Prime Minister Blair.
A great PR event and a great event to aid in the war.

How do I put your words into italics?Bracket an "i" at the beginning of a text using the sideways carrots "<" and ">" (of course, without the quotation marks), and then close the text with "<" "/" "i" ">" (again, without the quotation marks).

Bullish is a very solid guy. But Bushs' suprise entrance to our troops brought tears to my eyes. I'm with you there, Bullish. My eyes misted up and I got a lump in my throat watching the obvious love and respect that the troops and President Bush have for each other. We NEED this kind of leader.
