For the record, the soonest I remember any "mainstream" news organization mentioning Bin Laden was after the SECOND plane hit; I believe it was Fox that said it first. Almost none were even willing to speculate about the possibility of terrorism at all before the second plane, and a number of news outlets didn't even mention OBL for five to ten minutes after the second plane, even though by then they were at least willing to entertain the possibility that maybe, just maybe, it wasn't a freak double accident. *rolling eyes*
A friend called, told me to turn on the TV, that a plane had hit the towers.
I was at work, sans TV (we have one there but it was in a closet at the time) so I turned on the radio while coming to FR.
The radio reports and everything I could find on the web other than at FR were saying it was a small plane, perhaps a Cessna.
I still remember that sick, awful feeling when I reloaded that thread and someone had posted a comment saying "did I just see the other tower get hit?" or something like that.
I still remember more of that day, than any other day of my life. Today included.
