I'm so glad you had a good day, dixie, with traditions to savor with the food.
Wasn't it a glorious day, though?!
South Carolina has a nice balance of cool nights and warm days; over here that way until Christmas Day with very few dips here and there.
Our area misses the Bad Systems that go through Augusta and then angle up toward Columbia. It is a rare day indeed when stray flakes fall here, and ice is never a problem.

The scents and sounds of holidays and other special times with family are wonderful! Oh, how the smallest children have grown and the oldest are now thinking of cars, college and companions for life!
The traditions that the preceeding generations have handed down to my generation are now being passed to the next. Family and friends are wonderful and they are what keep us young.
Traditions are a chain that links us from the past to the present.
