US troops (Accidentally?) kill 12-year-old (Iraq)

Mosul - A 12-year-old Iraqi boy was killed and four other bystanders were seriously wounded as United States troops clashed with insurgents in Iraq's main northern city late on Wednesday killing four of them, police and medics said.
Two US soldiers were also wounded in the twin clashes in Mosul city centre, police said.
In the first exchange, insurgents threw hand grenades and opened fire at a US Humvee in the Hay Masraf district and soldiers returned fire killing one of them, said police captain Fathi Salah Zubeidi who witnessed the attack.
In the second, insurgents attacked US troops with Kalashnikovs and hand grenades in the Ghalat neighbourhood near the Tigris, before being felled by US troops.
A boy in a BMW behind the Humvee that was attacked was killed and four others were wounded, said police Captain Bassam Saleh Abdullah.
Doctor Ali Hamid Said at the city's Al-Radi hospital said the four injured were in a serious condition.
The boy's body was taken to a US military hospital.
The US military had no immediate comment on the clashes.- Sapa-AFP

The title should be
"Boy Killed in Clash Between Terrorists, U.S. Military."There's nothing in the story to support the headline, not that it matters to the media.

From what I glanced at, he was in a vehicle (nice they mention that it was a BMW - I'm surprised they did not say "Army SUV kills 12-year-old boy") that was behind a Hummer that was attacked.
Sad that a young boy lost his life, for no reason.
Hopefully the locals will wake up to what is happening and take appropriate action.
As for you - post the article title only - not modified by what you think - you ada?
